Our Materials

At WMBC, we ensure premium quality for our jewelry that can be found similar to leading jewelry luxury brands without the luxury mark-up. Learn more about the materials we use in our jewelry:

Standard Jewelry Line

S925 Sterling silver
S925 Sterling silver is a hallmark material of quality jewelry. Made up of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, it represents a perfect balance between beauty and practical durability required for everyday wear.
Rhodium
For all our silver tone pieces, we coat them with a layer of rhodium, which is a rare, precious metal that improves the appearance, durability and resistance to tarnishing for white gold, sterling silver and platinum jewelry.

Gold Vermeil
Gold vermeil is a premium type of jewelry made by plating a thick layer of real gold over a solid sterling silver base. At WMBC, we use either 14K, 18K or 24K gold with plating of at least 2.5-3 microns thick, which is significantly thicker than just regular gold-plated jewelry (around 1-1.5 micron thick) in the market, making our jewelry much more durable and outlasting.
Moissanite
Moissanite is a gemstone composed of silicon carbide (SIC) that gives of extraordinary brilliance and fire. It's refractive index exceeds that of diamond. Therefore if we were to put Moissanite and Diamond side by side, it is almost indifferentiable to a human eye. At WMBC, all lab-grown diamonds are certified with Gemological Research Association (GRA) certification and we uses only grade D (colourless) clarity.
